Last updated: [EFFECTIVE_DATE]
This is the plain version of what NourFide collects, why, and what you can do about it. NourFide is run by [BUSINESS_NAME]. Questions: thaer@nourfide.com.
What I collect
- If you subscribe: your email address.
- If you use the contact form: your name, email, and message.
- Automatically: limited technical data (your IP address) kept only to prevent abuse and spam, and basic, privacy-friendly analytics through [ANALYTICS_TOOL] (aggregate traffic, no invasive tracking).
If you confirm a subscription, the site also keeps a reader token tied to your email. It exists so the browser you read in can show you the subscriber issues you signed up for. It is stored in a cookie called nf_reader (details in the Cookie Notice), it is deleted with your subscriber record, and it is replaced if you unsubscribe and later come back.
Why, and on what basis
- Newsletter: your consent. You confirm by clicking the link in a confirmation email (double opt-in), and I keep a record that you consented and when.
- Contact: to read and answer your message.
- Abuse prevention and analytics: legitimate interest in keeping the site working and understanding broad traffic, kept minimal.
Reading-link emails are sent only when you ask for one on an issue page. They are transactional, not marketing.
Who else touches it (processors)
- The newsletter list and emails are handled by Buttondown. The site is hosted by [WEB_HOST]. Analytics is [ANALYTICS_TOOL]. Each processes data on my behalf under their terms.
How long I keep it
- Subscriber data: until you unsubscribe, then removed in routine cleanup.
- Contact messages: kept only as long as needed to handle your message.
- Abuse logs / IPs: kept briefly, then rotated out.
Your rights
You can ask to see what I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Unsubscribe is one click in any issue. For anything else, email thaer@nourfide.com and I'll act on it. If you're in the EU/UK, these are your GDPR rights; if you're in California, your CCPA/CPRA rights. I don't sell your data. Ever.
Cookies
See the Cookie Notice. Short version: essential cookies only, and privacy-friendly analytics chosen to minimize or avoid tracking cookies.
